1. Suspect Interrogation Reports #

Justice has been served, now let’s see who cracked the case.

The murderer has been found. Archer J. P. Martin was revealed as the one responsible.

If you correctly uncovered the truth and submitted your answer at stand 51, your efforts may have paid off.

Check below to see if you won one of the chromatography books or another of the outstanding prizes. The winners were randomly selected from all correct entries.

There were five books to be awarded in total. In addition, we have a selection of T-shirts available in three unique designs and various sizes, as well as a number of mugs.

If your name appears on the list but you were not selected for a book, you are still invited to collect a shirt or mug.

Prizes can be picked up during the morning coffee break from 10:15 to 10:45. Do note that the T-shirts and mugs are first come, first serve, and you may have a smaller selection to choose from if you come later.

2. Suspect Interrogation Reports #

Following each interrogation, a brief report was compiled summarizing the key statements, behaviours, and any notable inconsistencies observed during questioning. Below are the summaries for each suspect, as recorded by the investigating team.

Phillis R. Brown #

Phyllis opted for a transatlantic voyage, departing from New York by ship. She enjoyed the luxury of time, taking in the slow rhythm of the sea. When her boat docked in Zeebrugge, she took a short drive into Bruges, carrying her suitcase and a calm demeanour.

Erika Cremer #

Departing from Innsbruck, Erika boarded an early morning train bound for Western Europe. She traveled through Munich and Frankfurt before reaching Brussels Airport, where she briefly stepped into the terminal to transfer to a local connection. With her notebook in hand and calculations running through her mind, she finally arrived in Bruges just after sunset.

Roland W. Frei #

From Zurich, Roland chose the scenic route, enjoying the comfort and quiet of Swiss railways. His trip brought him through Basel and into Belgium, where he made a short stop at Brussels Airport station to change trains. No one could have guessed what other plans he might have been making as he stepped off the train in Bruges.

Csaba Horváth #

Flying out of Budapest, Csaba connected through Vienna before arriving in Brussels. He carried only a briefcase and a mind full of equations. The final leg to Bruges was quiet, and he chose not to speak of anything he might have noticed along the way.

Archer J. P. Martin #

Archer boarded a short flight from London to Brussels, traveling light and with sharp focus. Known for his precision and timeliness, he landed without delay and took a taxi straight to Bruges. He noted the layout of the streets the moment he arrived, always observant.

Florence Nightingale #

Florence set sail from Dover aboard a modest vessel, just as she had done many times before. The sea remained calm throughout the journey. Upon reaching the Belgian coast, she travelled inland to Bruges with quiet determination, already watching the behaviour of her fellow scholars.

Arne Wilherlm Kaurin Tiselius #

Arne departed from Stockholm and connected through Copenhagen before landing in Belgium. He favoured efficient travel and reached Brussels smoothly, followed by a direct ride to Bruges. During the trip, he remained unusually silent, lost in thought or perhaps something else.

Nel Velthorst #

Nel left from Amsterdam Centraal, catching an international express south. She transferred smoothly in Antwerp, sipping coffee and reviewing research notes along the way. Her train pulled into Bruges with time to spare, allowing her to settle in before the conference began.
